Uthman Ebrahim

Dance Teacher

Uthman Ebrahim is a native of Winston Salem, NC. Before joining the NCSH team, Mr. E taught kindergarten at PS 165, early childhood dance at PS 185, and middle school dance at the Bronx Lighthouse School. He earned a BFA from the North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied acting, ballet, and contemporary dance. As a dancer, Mr. E toured the US and abroad with Cedar Lake II, Complexions Contemporary Ballet; and Sensedance. In 2008, Uthman studied aesthetic education at the Lincoln Center Institute as a Kenan Fellow. He continued his education at Touro College and earned an MS in childhood and special education. During the summer of 2016, Mr. E was awarded the prestigious NYU Astor Fellowship for travel to Australia. Most recently, he completed an MA in dance education at Hunter College and traveled to Cuba for the school’s first educational/cultural exchange.
