Sarah Johnston

Sarah Johnston earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Amherst College and a Master of Science in Childhood General Education from Bank Street College of Education. Sarah grew up in Pelham, New York. She started teaching 2nd grade at Achievement First in East New York, Brooklyn and comes to NCSH having taught 1st and 4th grade at The Mandell School. Sarah is an avid basketball player and coach, having played in college, and coached the middle school boys basketball team while at Achievement First. She places tremendous value on team sports, hard work, and determination. She also is a firm believer in the progressive school model and is thrilled to be joining the NCSH community this year.
