Nicole McTaggart

1st Grade Teacher
Nicole McTaggart is originally from Brattleboro, Vermont. Nicole began her educational path as a preschool teacher for three years in California. She moved back to Vermont and worked as a paraprofessional in special education for two years until moving to New York to complete her degree. She earned a bachelor's degree from New York University in Childhood 1-6 and Special Education. During her time at NYU her passion for working with children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder led her to minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies, and she was chosen to intern at the NYU Child Study Center. She spent one year observing live behavioral therapy sessions alongside a team of highly qualified psychologists and psychiatrists. Nicole is deeply passionate about special education and social justice and is thrilled to be joining the school to continue this work. She looks forward to a year full of learning, growing and building meaningful relationships with her students and families.
