Michael Renda is the Assistant Principal of Neighborhood Charter School: Harlem's Northwest Campus, consisting of kindergarten through second grade.  As the Assistant Principal, Mr. Renda oversees instruction, curriculum, and operations at the Northwest Campus.  This will be Mr. Renda's sixth school year at Neighborhood Charter Schools and his third year as an assistant principal.   

Mr. Renda is from Long Island where he began his career teaching seventh and eighth grade social studies at middle schools in both Massapequa and Commack, NY. Mr. Renda earned a Government and Politics degree at St. Johns University in Jamaica, Queens. Soon after, he earned his Master of Science in Education from Hofstra University.

Mr. Renda is currently working towards his second master's degree at City College. On the weekends, he can be found enjoying time with his family and running through Central Park.
