"The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all." - Mulan
Leila Nabizadeh earned her Masters of Science in Teaching from Fordham University in May 2014 and holds New York State Teaching Certification for Adolescence English. She spent her first full year of teaching overseas in Malaysia! Leila earned a Fulbright grant to teach English as a second language and served as an ESL teacher in a rural high school in Malaysia from January-November of 2015. This year abroad gave Leila the chance to step outside of her comfort zone and bring back new skills and strengths to her home in New York. Upon returning to the United States, Leila served as an assistant fourth grade teacher in Manhattan as well as an in-home tutor in Brooklyn. As a teacher dedicated to serving the needs of diverse learners, Leila loves the NCSH mission to guide all scholars to success and is grateful to be a part of the NCSH team!
