Doretha Dawkins

Doretha Dawkins earned a Bachelors of Science in China and Asia Pacific Studies from Cornell University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Childhood Special Education at Brooklyn College. Born in Concord, North Carolina, Doretha moved to New York City as a 2013 corps member of Teach for America. At Cornell, Doretha worked for four years at an after school program at Southside Community Center, serving in various positions and strengthening the program's focus on academic intervention. Doretha is deeply passionate about creating opportunities in underserved communities across the globe. Doretha looks forward to developing the young minds of our next generation and and building meaningful relationships with her scholars.
